Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-21

LLUCAMPS is designed to work without an account, without analytics, and without sending your personal data anywhere. This policy describes exactly what data the app touches and where it goes.

TL;DR

What data the app touches

1. Device location

2. Crash reports (opt-in)

3. Map tiles

4. Favorites, recently-viewed, filters, custom pins

5. Anonymous bug reports

What data the app does NOT collect

Third parties

ServicePurposeData shared
SentryCrash reporting (opt-in)Stack trace, app/OS version
OpenFreeMap (tiles.openfreemap.org)Map tiles — Positron / light styleIP address, tile coordinates
Versatiles (tiles.versatiles.org)Map tiles — Dark matter / dark styleIP address, tile coordinates
OpenStreetMap / Recreation.gov / NPS / USFS / BLM / USGSSource of campsite data (one-time, at build time)Nothing from you.

Data sources for campsite information

The campsite data shipped inside the app is derived from public sources, primarily US federal government works (Recreation.gov, NPS, USFS, BLM, USGS PAD-US) and OpenStreetMap. See the in-app Settings → Credits & licenses screen for the full list and license terms.

The dataset is bundled with the app at build time. The app does not phone home to fetch campsite data at runtime.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and contains no advertising, no social features, no chat, and no user-generated content visible to other users.

The app does offer three optional consumable in-app purchases — a tip jar, under Settings → Support development. They are entirely voluntary, unlock no features or content, and use the standard system purchase flow (including any parental controls or Ask to Buy restrictions configured on the device). The app behaves identically with or without a tip.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that affects what data is collected or where it is sent, we will increment the app's version number and publish the change on this page before that version ships.
